Mistaken Attitude

"Hey Guru,How are you ?" ,I questioned him as I approached his desk with Deepawali sweets in my hand. He was busy as usual concentrating fully on his flat LG screen. He looked at me in a glance and answered in a monosyllable word- "fine".

I reached his desk which was mostly empty except some old picture of God,his black and white nameplate ,some unknown Japanese character which got its flavour from Harappa and Mohenjadro Civilisation and yeah, something new, a well known quote printed nicely in Monotype Corsiva font. The calligraphic font read aloud

“Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude”

Impressive, very impressive.I asked scholarly Guru what has prompted him for such an erudite quotation to be pinned at his wooden walls that hedges him and his computer. He gave his aristocratic smile and said that "
I have a lots of attitude and so I have put this." ."OH ho!! ",I said with my eyes opening full with whatever impulse that word "attitude" generated in my mind.

"Hahahahaha,I too have attitude",I heard someone saying from the nearby cubicle.
It was the voice of Shirish.I looked at him.He was smiling as if he had just won world war ,The second, for the allied forces. He had a strange habit of not making friends or we can say that due to his strange habit, there were very few friends.Even if he had friends, they were among wrong sets of friends that remained detached from rest of the normal world.Shirish has an ability to get things done by others through shrewdness and win the laurels.Though he is hard working too,yet he is suffering from "self-smart " attitude problem. He fail to realise that people understand his crafty nature and that is giving bad colour to his name.

Guru looked Shirish and gave him a gentle smile acknowledging the fact.Guru,a very friendly type of person with a overflowing emotional mercury level .Once a friend ,always a friend, you can bet my life over it. and very sincere to his job.Due to his nature,I have known him very nicely. His father started as a clerk in bank and through hard work became the manager of a centralised bank and still creating waves at his place. His grandfather was a son of a village who came out to the town to become a professor and then an engineer.Guru himself is an intelligent guy but always closer to the ground. He has a habit of doing his things of his own however tough it might be,probably learnt from his past generations the lessons that life teaches.

I offered the malai laden sweets to both of them and they both smilingly took it .I said bye to them and began moving towards my cubicle with the quotation pondering in my mind. Two person, different attitudes and one quotation. This quotation talked about whom-Guru or Shirish? Whose attitude will move him to altitude? Let me check if google can answer me.You can help me too to unravel the quote.

Thinking to Write

Want to write something for blog, but do not know what?
Should it be something sensible or a complete fart.
Seen many blogs and have read many,
Some talked about life, some about penny,
Some posted links for their site, visit and earn,
Some had pics of their doggy, while some had Granny.
Should I copy Shakespeare from somewhere,
and show world how beautiful I can write,
Or should I write on some hopeless philosophy,
or on weight and hair loss , exercise, health or diet.
Is it good if I jot down my everyday life,
in blogs for everyone to see?
Or pen down some election campaign,
so that all can vote me.
I created an account with eblogger,
I am confused what to do?
I know I wrote something garbage,
and that is what I have for you.
